A few of the products we have galvanised recently from blacksmiths, fabricators, welders and farmers.

Remembrance Day Bench

This bench was part of a memorial project for Defence Munitions Beith galvanised to ensure it would last for many years to come and completed in time for Remembrance Day this Autumn- 11.11.24. Now proudly in place at Beith.

Thistles arriving from ArtFe – by K Paxton Blacksmiths

ArtFe regularly send their work up to Forfar Galvanisers Ltd. We’ve had our fair share of Highland Coos but recently we’ve galvanised these statuesque thistles. They’re pretty impressive once completed. Here’s a photo from the Royal Highland Show this year.

More in the yard this Autumn

These are common examples of what goes into the galvanising plant: products like steel beams, pipes, gates, fencing, walkways, trailers, and various agricultural equipment. The Highland coo a less common example!

Galvanising is a protective process used for a wide range of metal products to prevent corrosion, improve durability, and extend their lifespan. When products undergo galvanising, it makes them more resilient in harsh outdoor conditions. The process involves coating the metal with a layer of zinc through our hot-dip galvanising process. The zinc layer acts as a barrier against moisture and environmental factors that would otherwise cause rusting. Because of its effectiveness, galvanising is widely used in construction, manufacturing, and agriculture, where metal products are regularly exposed to weather and need long-lasting protection.
